Established in 1978, McDowall Affleck has become a company known for the quality and simplicity of its engineering solutions. Whilst beginning with only civil engineering services, McDowall Affleck has diversified to become a multi-disciplined enterprise, offering design, project management and construction for mechanical, structural, civil and sub-divisional engineering.
During nearly 30 years of operation, McDowall Affleck has built a wealth of knowledge in & understanding of Australian and West Australian law & safety requirements. As such, we have been able to export our services to companies from all over the world and assist them to ensure their products meet the strict Australian Standards. We have also been able to develop an intimate working knowledge of the Eastern regions of Perth and therefore are able to provide invaluable advice to locals, whether large scale industry or families.
Throughout all of this, McDowall Affleck has demonstrated a commitment to the improvement and education of its employees. Taking on almost every year trainee staff for administration or drafting, we have supported the local community and were rewarded for this effort in 2006-07 with The Hanson Swan Business Award for “Contribution to Youth Training”. We also ensure that every engineer we employ is assisted to achieve their Chartered Engineer status through the PDP program provided by Engineers Australia. Experienced Chartered Engineers actively help the participants to progress through the program and ensure they receive the training and experience needed to demonstrate the required competencies and fulfil their individual career goals.
Our commitment to our staff training and development does not stop there, as we insist they move away from the desk and into our clients sites to view first hand how the engineering advice we give works.
McDowall Affleck is owned by its employees, loyal and hard working Western Australian professionals who are driven to succeed for our valued clients and our company.
