MUNICIPAL ENGINEERING

We have over 20 years experience in the field of civil engineering with country and city local government, both as past employees of Councils and as consultants to Councils. We offer an extensive range of services to municipality's including:

• Government Funding Grants

Making application to MRWA for road funding grants and the investigation of a road to assess its suitability for funding.

• Documentation

Compilation of a specification covering land development dealing with relevant WAPC conditions and Council standards.

• Subdivisional Development

Checking the design and relevant documentation of subdivisions proposed by developers (or their representatives) for compliance with both WAPC conditions and Council's construction standards. We can also act as the Council representative on the construction site or at other meetings.

• Road Reconstruction

Road and drainage reconstruction design, calling of tenders, and contract administration and superintendence.

• Drainage Problems

We have extensive experience in the investigation into localised stormwater flooding and drainage problems, analysis and subsequent design of a cost-effective long-term solution.

• Drainage Asset Register

We can undertake visual inspections, assessment and compilation of an asset register for all drainage throughout a municipality.

The Register will enable planned maintenance and upgrading to be carried out and for compliance with the requirements of the Australian Accounting Standard 27 (AAS27).

• Town Centre Traffic Management and Enhancement

Design of centre of town streetscape, street parking, cycle lanes, attention to pedestrian movement and crossing points and enhancement of pedestrian paving.

• Traffic Control and Traffic Calming

Design of speed control devices, round-abouts and other structures to control traffic speed and enhance pedestrian movement and safety.

• Structural

Advice on dangerous buildings, walls, damaged structures, institutional buildings, swimming pools, preservation of historical buildings, building audits, dilapidation reports and inspections for site access and egress along intended or unintended routes, water storage, tanks and timber/ concrete bridges in country areas.
